Thanks Kathryn! I wanted to share this with you because it is basically what you said happens. Over the weekend I was having a big clean out and I found my journal from a couple of years ago. As I read through it I could hardly believe I had written it. I actually couldn't read too much of it because I was so hard on myself and so down on myself. And I realised how I HATED that job, it caused me so much grief. |

Confidence and Self Esteem Do you find that your own lack of confidence or a poor self-esteem is the single biggest issue stopping you from getting on with your life? When our confidence is low, we so often hold ourselves back and don't even try to attempt going for the things we love. Low self confidence and self-esteem is such a common problem. Often we become very good at hiding and bluffing our way through life, but inside there is a part that has so many unfulfilled dreams and desires. Often there is a sense of sadness that accompanies our lack of confidence. Sometimes we can be confident in one area of our life, yet in another area feel inadequate and anything but confident. What does that little voice tell you? That you're not attractive enough, not smart enough, not wealthy enough, not slim enough or simply that you're just not good enough? Sometimes we aren't even aware of our own negative thoughts because we've become so accustomed to them. We know we have a lack of confidence but we don't really know why. Yet, if a friend said even a fraction of the negative, hurtful and downright nasty things that we tell ourselves, we'd probably give that friend the flick. But we listen and believe so much of our own negative self talk. And that is what keeps our confidence low. I look back now and realise that getting ditched [from that job] was the best thing that ever happened to me and thanks to all the work you did I barely recognise that girl anymore.
